On-Air » Shaun Ridder
Name: Shaun Ridder  (Friends always called me "Ridder")

Shift: Weekday Afternoons 3pm - 7pm

Birthplace: A hospital, imagine that!

About Ridder: Even growing up within hearing distance of Lambeau. I'm an even bigger Brewers fan... there's also two things I take very seriously; my food and my beer!  I am a total foodie and beer snob.  Good food was one of the things that connected me with my soul mate Sarah, if you listen regualrly you'll hear me talking about her or come out to a show, she's the blonde standing next to me.

Favorite Music: Everything... Singer/Songwritters are right in my wheelhouse though.  Some of my favorite artists are The Fray, John Mayer, Kanye West, Casey Donahew Band, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, and Brad Paisley.

Favorite Movies: Comedy or a good Rom-Com (Only if with Sarah), but no lie, I HATE horror films.

Favorite TV Shows: When my TV's not on the MLB Network or watching a Brewers game??? It's usually on Food Network.  Love some Tripple D, Resturant Impossible and Chopped!

Favorite Books: The one's with lots of pictures and very little words. "Everybody Poops." Right in that neighborhood.

Hobbies: I'm a straight up redneck.  I love the outdoors.  Fishing year round all over the country but even more so than anything I have a huge passion for waterfowl hunting.  I spend a lot of time working with Ducks Unlimited and travel all over the midwest hunting birds.  If you ever see trucks and trailers wiith a big logo that says "Diver Destroyers" on it; That's me.  Aside from hunting I love brewing beer and cooking.  The two kind of go hand in hand.

Dislikes: Yuppies that judge you for wearing camo into a grocery store.

Miranda Lambert says ‘I’m Like A Basket Case’

Miranda Lambert - CountryMusicIsLove 2

With four No.1 albums under her belt, one would think Miranda Lambert was confident in what she was doing. But no, the “Mama’s Broken Heart” singer is feeling the pressure more than ever with her fifth album.

“I freak out every time. I’m like a basket case when it’s time to make a record,” she tells AZ Central. “I get so nervous as to ‘Is this gonna work? Is this gonna be the album that stops selling, that stops getting nominated?’ I know that I can’t live like that. I can’t do my whole career like that. But it definitely crosses my mind.”

Despite how successful her critically-acclaimed Four The Record album was, Lambert says the new one will be different. ”I think I’m just gonna have fun because I’ve been serious a lot,” she adds. “I’ve written songs about killing people and sad songs, and I really want to do a tour that’s just a lot of fun, so I want to do an album with more fun songs.”

But Lambert fans, don’t worry. You’ll still hear the same Miranda you fell in love with. ”To me, playing it safe is when it will end. I have never played it safe. I don’t go into the studio going ‘I’m gonna be different’ or ‘I’m gonna do something crazy.’ I just do what I like. And if it’s not safe, well, that has to be what it is. I’m always gonna do that. If I write a song I love, I cut it. It is just that simple.”

The singer will hit the studio in August to start recording the new album. Until then, she’ll be super busy with her summer schedule, including taking over dates originally planned for the Pistol Annies.
